Particularly covet-worthy is the collection??�s elephant bronzer.

Packed with shades of shimmery gold and bronze powder, this compact bears the charming figure of an elephant (often regarded as a symbol of India) embossed right into the powder. A new eye shadow palette has just been introduced as part of the Fall / Winter?�2008 “Maharani Jewels” collection by Lanc??me. This lotus flower shaped palette is available in two color combinations – Brown Nalini and Warm Keva.

Unfortunately, it will not be available in US, as I was told by a Lancome Consumer Affairs Specialist. What do we get instead? A plain old quad palette in two shades: “Lotus Splendor” (warm nude-beige-chocolate) and “Secrets of Bengal” (cool pink-purple-metalic).

I noticed that along with usual shades of classic warm autumn shades, purple and metallic shades dominate this season, in make-up and clothing alike.
