Why is mother’s day associated with such gifts as flower pots, watering cans, pajamas and all kinds of kitchen gadgets, pots, pans… you name it? In tune with the rest of the world, most lingerie stores and brands celebrate moms by advertising a set of cute and roomy floral or polka dot pajamas. Does that mean that after having babies, a woman is no longer percieved as attractive and sexy, and from now on can be imagined only in the kitchen or garden setting, or…. ok, may be… may be in the bedroom, but please(!) hide it all behind that floral pajamas? The story of L’Occitane begins in Provence, in 1976, when a 23-year old Olivier Baussan, inspired by his childhood in Provence, decided to recreate the traditions of his region. After purchasing a steam distiller, a relic from the past, Olivier harvested wild rosemary and produced pure Rosemary essential oil.
